Acorn

Acorn Stairlifts were formed in 1992 and their manufacturing facilities and headquarters are in Keighley, Yorkshire. They now supply in excess of 50,000 stairlifts worldwide.

Since the formation of the company Acorn sought to pioneer new technologies within the stairlift industry and introduced DC technology which has since become standard across all the leading manufacturers. The Acorn Superglide remains at the forefront of stairlift technology today and now incorporates a self diagnostic system for even better service and support.

Acorn only manufacture stairlifts enabling them to concentrate on one product and do it right.

Stannah

Based in Andover, Hampshire, Stannah is a family-owned company and was originally formed in the 1860s. Stannah designed their first stairlift in 1975 and there are now more Stannah lifts in homes across the world than anyone else.

In 2008/9 Stannah were awarded 'Superbrand' status for their reliability, quality and distinction.

Companion

Companion stairlifts carry a number of features which set them apart from other brands. These include an ultra slim version where the width of the stairs is a real issue and they also create bespoke solutions to awkward stairs.
